7-Pin I-Wire Penetrator System
Product Description
BIW Connector Systems offers the first wellhead penetrator for 7-conductor instrument cables. The newest 7-conductor instrument cables may have multiple downhole gauges, which may increase the risk of a breach. By using a BIW penetrator, any possible failure will be contained. The BIW Connector Systems 7-conductor instrumentation penetrator uses glass-to-metal sealing technology to provide reliable pressure blocking. The BIW penetrator also includes a unique safety feature that provides a visual indication if high pressure is present within the penetrator, indicating a downhole breach. Instrument wire penetrators are also called wellhead outlets. They are designed to be mounted either on the top of the wellhead bonnet or on the exterior face of the wellhead bowl. The new 7-conductor penetrator supplements BIW’s product line of single conductor penetrator systems, downhole splices for tubing encapsulated cables, and field attachable instrument connectors. BIW products are offered with approvals, demonstrating that products are certified for use in Hazardous Locations.
